If you pay tax and sign a Gift Aid Declaration then TBS can reclaim an extra 25p for every pound given as a donation or paid as a subscription.

Paying tax refers to tax actually paid ie for amounts above the tax-free allowances, including:

  • income tax whether collected by employer or pension fund or paid separately by yourself,
  • tax on interest,
  • tax on dividends from shares and unit trusts, and
  • capital gains tax.

If you pay tax at the higher rate you can also claim your own tax reduction by declaring the gifts on your tax return.

You can make a declaration once, and then it applies for all gifts in any of the past four years and into the future, you do not need to make a new declaration for each future gift or payment.

TBS is now operating as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and a new Declaration is needed for gifts to the CIO. So please will you make a new Declaration now, even if you have previously made a declaration to the old TBS charity.

You can make the declaration by completing the following form and clicking SEND (you do not need to print and post anything). Please give your legal first name as on your passport even if it is not the one you commonly use. Please check that the declaration accurately reflects your circumstances and amend the words about the past four years if needed, then click SEND.

Alternatively you can download, print and post or email to us the following GIFT AID FORM.

If you have any questions please call the Chairman on 01483 474286 or email: ciochairman@tilbach.org.uk

Thank you for helping in this valuable way.

Gift Aid Declaration

Gift Aid Declaration to Tilford Bach Society (CIO) and/or Tilford Bach Society, including Godalming Conservatoire Concerts and Farnham Sinfonia

Your Message
The sum that I am transferring to Tilford Bach Society (CIO) and/or Tilford Bach Society is intended first to reimburse the Society for any benefits in kind that I receive that are above the limits permitted under Gift Aid; and after doing that the remainder is intended as a qualifying gift under Gift Aid.

Please treat in this manner, until I notify you otherwise, all transfers of money made in
- the last 4 years
- today
- and in the future.

I understand that the Society will reclaim 25p tax for every £1 that I pay.

I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference (I understand that HMRC may make checks)

I will notify you if I cease to pay sufficient tax or change my name or address, or otherwise wish to cancel this declaration.
